Rob was born in London England and came to London Ontario in 1982 to pursue graduate work at Western. He has a Ph.D. in Philosophy with a concentration in Bioethics. He taught Philosophy and Ethics for 15 years, and since 1990 has provided ethics consulting services to the health, sport and government sectors.
Rob currently provides ethics services to some twenty hospitals and health-care facilities, the Correctional Service of Canada, and Home and Community Care Shared Services. His education programme on Ethics and Accreditation for Health-Care Facilities, is offered nationally and internationally by Accreditation Canada. Rob is a frequent speaker at workshops and conferences (both in person and on-line) and is well-known for engaging and challenging his audiences in reflection and debate.
In his real life Rob is father to six and grandfather to five. He lives with his wife and some of those children in London, Ontario.
