Evan received a Bachelor of Arts with honors specialization in philosophy from Wilfrid Laurier University. He then went on to complete his Master of Arts in philosophy again at Wilfrid Laurier University, in which his research focused on updating the traditional practice of informed consent with relational autonomy in order to strengthen said practice. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Ethics and Public Affairs at Carleton University. The subject of his thesis research focuses on the question of when can public health claims override individual rights claims, with a specific focus on the ethical validity of vaccination mandates.
